I am an experienced, Avid-certified Video/VFX editor and a motion graphics artist who is currently working as the Online Editor for Bardel Entertainment Inc., based out of Vancouver, Canada. I provide services such as picture lock, conforming, digital intermediates and mastering for TV and motion pictures.

I hold two degrees. One is a Bachelor of Engineering (Information Technology) and the other is a Masters's degree in Digital Video and Special Effects.

I graduated back in 2009 from Cochin University of Science and Technology in Kochi, Kerala, India.

Watching James Cameron's "Terminator- 2: The Judgement day" back in the late ‘90s had a big impact on me. I thought of making a robot like that myself but later I came to know that it was all created by some genius minds who worked at some of the top visual effects companies of that time. I wanted to create magic like that myself when I grew up. I got my first computer in 2003 and that was the year I got my hands on Adobe Premiere Pro. After I started editing videos, there was no turning back. I kept building my skills in editing all the way through college, even when my degree had nothing to do with creativity.

In 2010, I joined a multinational IT firm to work as a programmer. There, I learned the trade secrets behind the working of large-scale systems, retail logistical systems in particular. I learned remote monitoring, database analysis, software development and testing. Later in 2012, I resigned from that job in order to pursue my post-graduation.

Off to the UK.

I graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University (now Leeds Beckett University) in Leeds. It was back in 2013. I got a first-class and honors in Digital Video and Special Effects. While I was in the UK, I was fortunate enough to meet and collaborate with many talented artists and small-scale record labels from West Yorkshire County, England. I was introduced to cutting-edge visual effects facilities when I was there. Motion capture was another interesting field that blew my mind I got to learn to navigate and set up a motion capture environment and how to transfer the captured motion onto 3D models inside various 3D packages.

In the middle of 2014, I shifted my base back to India for a while. I continued working freelance for clients who contacted me back from the UK and also from some other parts of the world as well. In 2015, I moved to Canada as a permanent resident. I was fortunate enough to get invited to do a full scholarship-paid internship at "The Banff Centre" in Banff, Alberta. It is the biggest creative incubator on the planet. The time I spent there helped me strengthen my skills in editing on Avid Media Composer and that too in an Avid ISIS environment. I also got to solve many technical problems that came with that kind of set-up from time to time. I learned how to edit for various types of shows, documentaries in particular. I also learned the art of mastering shows for various media, such as TV, the Internet and theatrical releases. I was fortunate enough to be involved in working on some important projects, such as the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival, 2015 and the Banff World Media Festival, 2016. I shifted my base to Winnipeg in the summer of 2016, where I found myself in the middle of broadcast television, something that I never saw coming. I worked with CTV News for almost three years and I learned the ins and outs of TV and how teamwork means everything to pull off shows on TV. Apart from that thrilling experience of working in live TV, I also got a chance to work for the biggest private broadcaster in Canada.

I am continuously striving to develop and push the boundaries of my post-production skills with technical skills, creating top-notch content for a wide variety of audiences around the world and also developing and improving the workflows that exist in various different studios where I work. One of my passion is developing workflows where they don't exist.

I am an active volunteer and have long-standing associations with organizations such as the British Heart Foundation, Arthritis Research UK and TED.
